eP exclusive sneak peek and...

Smiley from millan.net...celebrating Joy's birthday!!
Yep, today is Joy's birthday and we are celebrating eP style!! Today eP is releasing an
exclusive OCL stamp set called Hangin' Loose with Kona!
Oh man, this set is adorable and so fun to color and play with!

Blue is Joy's fave color so I had to use blue in my card, I chose paper from MME Penny Lane. The plate of cupcakes is from the OCL Star's Slumber Party set. I was having a hard time with a birthday sentiment so, I grabbed my label maker and printed it out, ding-ding-ding! Now, I'll be able to create my own sentiments with it, sooooo excited, LOL!! I left the peeling on the back and popped it up with dimensionals.

I've known Joy for several years and I got to meet her a couple of years ago at our retreat! She's as sweet as she can be and so much fun to hang out with! HAPPY BIRTHDAY my Joyful one, love you to pieces!! Head on over to Joyfuls blog and wish her a Happy Birthday!
Check out these blogs for some more Joyful love! Debbie C, Broni, Jen, Lisa, Lana, HB, Heather, Charmaine, Jami, Taylor, Cindy L, Sharon, Debbi, Denise, Bethie, Otter, Kookie, Pam, Maria, Kisa, Lila, Val from Cal, Jacqui, Jeanne, Debbie, Jane, Dawn, Kendra, Deb, Amber, Libby, Cindy H, Leigh, Holly, Di, Marianne, Lori, Cammie, Kim, Rose Ann.

Supplies: Stamps - OCL Hangin' Loose with Kona, Star's Slumber Party (cupcake plate). Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Copics and Chocolate Chip marker. Paper - SU! Certainly Celery, GP white, MME Penny Lane. Acces. - ribbon, white cotton string, button, Prima flower, Crafty Sparkles Breezy Blue, vintage photo corners from my friend LZ, tiny googlie eyes, Spica glitter pens, Dew Drops - Cowboy. Tools - Mega Nesties Curved Rectangles, Big Shot, Scor-Pal, sewing machine, Dymo LetraTag label maker.
Here's my label maker I used for the sentiment. I got it at Target and I get my refills there too, I bet Wal-Mart has them. I label everything with this, so easy to use. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I thought I'd share a couple of flowers from my yard. The top one is a golden iris, the bottom is a Stella D'Oro Lily. The lilies bloom all summer, that's very nice, I love flowers that will bloom all summer long!

I want to show you what mom gave me, she doesn't remember where she got it, she said probably from a yard sale years ago. (Am I being to chatty, I can't help it, it's been awhile since I posted, LOL!!)

Oh my, look at the embroidery work someone did on these silverware keepers, I'm not sure what they're really called, I'll call them silverware keepers! You unsnap them and unroll them. There is a slot for each piece of silverware to slip into! I'm guessing they used to make them for newlyweds?Here's a closer look at the snaps, the strip with the snaps is hand sewn on, so nice and neat!
Here's a shot of the inside.

Don't forget to go to ePaperie today and get your Hangin' Loose with Kona set!!

I hope you have a wonderful day, thanks for stopping by!

CS 16th birthday boy card

Guy cards aren't alot of fun for me to make. They
aren't flowery with girly colors etc. My bosses wife wanted me to make a card for their grandson who was turning 16. (In AR. kids can get a license at 16 and they can drive at 14 with a permit and a 21 year old driver with them, geeez...but, that's another story) This card was easy for me using the Crafty Secrets Favorite Fella stamp set. Love the vintage images in this set, it's perfect for any kind of guy card you need!

Supplies: Stamps - Crafty Secrets Favorite Fellas & ABC Top Hat. Paper - Neenah white, Cosmo Cricket Gretel, SU! Chocolate Chip. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Copic markers. Acces. - Tim Holtz Sprocket Gears, SU! hardware, ribbon, Ranger Distress Stickles Antique Linen. Tools - SU! tag & word window punches.

I found this great glass drink shaker at a junk shop in Mtn. View last time I was at mom's. I had to have it, it was $3, woohoo! The cartoon figures painted on it is what caught my attention along with the drink recipes. I'm using it for decoration in my kitchen. The top has a knob looking thing sticking out with threads on it, something screws on there, but, it's missing and I don't have a clue what it's for. Seems like I've seen these on TV and they spray into a glass from them? I don't know, does anybody know how this would be used? I'm not up on drink tools, LOL!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope you have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Secrets Domestic Goddess!

I dropped by the Crafty Secrets forums over at Splitcoast Stampers to see what the girls are up to. They have another great challenge going on, of course! I had a little time to play again, thanks for the fun, girls!! If you want to play, go here to check it out!

I was watching the Martha Stewart show a few days ago, I DVR it every day, I *heart* Martha Ü, anyway, they were making some feather headbands and they made some cute flowers out of ribbon to go on them. I took a piece of lace about 5" long and I stitched it along the edge with a needle and thread. When I got to the end, I pulled the thread and it gathered up, I stitched the edges together to make the flower. I love the look, I'll be doing this again!
Supplies: Stamps - CS Mini Memories (flourish), Gingham background by TAC (I think, I really need to figure this out, LOL!). Paper - CS Radiant Paper Pad, SU! Ruby Red, brown scrap. Ink - Ranger Distress Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo, Fired Brick. Acces. - CS Creative Scraps - Domestic Goddess, ribbon, lace, button, pin, brown twine. Tools - SU! slit, circle, scalloped border & tag corner punches, Zutter Round It All, Scor-Pal, tracing wheel.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This is a peony I picked from my yard, I love the sweet, sweet smell of these pretty flowers!
I hope you have a great day, thanks for stopping by!
iris atc
It's time for another atc swap hosted by my friend
Stevie! This is a small swap, the theme is any holiday in April, May or June. You can go here to find any holiday possible. I chose Iris Day, May 8th!
I just got this iris stamp by Penny Black a few days ago, I ordered it hoping it would be here in time for my swap and it was, yippee!
I used my Tim Holtz mask and blending tool to add the walnut ink to the card base then I sprayed my Patina Glimmer Mist over the card to give it more color and shimmer. The iris is stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder.
Supplies: Stamps - Bingo Tim Holtz Collection, Cornish Heritage Farms Scalloped Lace Backgrounder, Penny Black iris. Paper - SU! Confetti Cream. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Ranger Adirondack Bottle, SU! Chocolate Chip marker, Creative Memories gold pen. Acces. - clear embossing powder, vintage lace, Patina Glimmer Mist, Primas, Kaiser Craft pearls, twine, Papertrey Ink ribbon Aqua Mist & Aqua Mist button, vintage button. Tools - Tim Holtz flourish mask, tracing wheel, Marvy scalloped circle punch, heat gun, blending tool.
Here are a couple of pictures of some irises in my yard. The top one was a surprise, I don't remember planting it! The bottom is an old fashioned one, they are small but still so pretty!
I hope you have a great day! I'm in serious need of some vitimin D, I'm getting cranky!
It is SO soggy around here....geeeeez.
Crafty Girlfriends Birthday!
I couldn't resist, I had to use another SU! long
note card, Girlfriends and the Calendar Creative Scraps from Crafty Secrets! I really like this size card, it's 3 1/4 x 6 1/2.
I stamped the card with a gingham background stamp by TAC, I think? I've had the stamp forever.... but, I think that's the company. I'm really into gingham lately, I just got a bunch of yummy May Arts gingham ribbon that I'm anxious to use, when the right color combo comes along for my next project! To me, gingham is pure vintage! My next plan is to stamp some gingham Prima's and I have a pair of pink and white gingham capri pants I had cut off and hemmed, I'm makeing some flowers out of those! Ü Hmmmm, I may make a pin to wear on my top......hmmmmmm, LOL!
Supplies: Stamps - gingham background by TAC. Paper - Crafty Secrets Pastel Paper Pad, SU! Groovy Guava long note card, vintage sheet music. Ink - Ranger Distress Vintage Photo, SU! Groovy Guava. Acces. - Crafty Secrets Girlfriends and Calendar Creative Scraps, Pearl Glimmer Mist, SU! brads and mini clip, buttons, ribbon, Martha Stewart bakers twine. Tools - tracing wheel, paper distresser, flower punch, SU! flower dies, Big Shot, Tim Holtz blending tool, Zutter Round It All.
Here is a picture of a rose from my mom's rose bush, isn't it beautiful? Can you smell it? Ü
say. Another brand new week is in store for us, I hope to make it a good one! I'm hoping it will stop raining for a couple of weeks anyway, we are about to float away. The farmers and gardeners are wanting to plant or their fields and gardens are washing away. Bad knews. Me and Terry got our tomatoes out in our little patch, now we need some warm, sunny weather so they can grow!!!!
Here is the card I made with the new Crafty Secrets Creative Scraps, Girlfriends. I had to use this image as soon as I could, it's so pretty, the colors are gorgeous along with the lady! I used a SU! note card and envy from my Long Notes package in Wild Wasabi.
Have you been to the Crafty Secrets website lately? It's been updated with an all new look, it's pure eye-candy, you need to check it out!
I used some more of my long neglected Prima flowers, I dirtied them up a bit with some Ranger Distress ink. Supplies: Paper - Crafty Pastel Paper Pad, SU! Very Vanilla, Wild Wasbi Long Notes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Here are a few picture's of the goodies I got at the auction a couple of weeks ago. This cool vintage bingo cage with the call numbers inside and the funny looking bingo cards. I guess they are bingo cards??? (I went to eBay and found them, they are Lotto bingo cards, I've never seen this type of bingo game before, who knew?) I paid $2 for these Ü
and my beautiful buttons.....I got them in a big bunch of sewing stuff, cloth tape measures, thread, tracing wheels, lace, snaps, boxes of stuff for $5! Mmmmm, white yumminess.....
pretty glass buttons and rhinestone buttons............................
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a bouquet my daughter picked one morning at my mom's. There are lavendar iris, bright pink azaleas, and babies breath in it. Mom's flowers are so pretty this year!
