Stamper's Sampler & Halloween door hanger directions

I was so happy when I got my comp copy of the Oct/Nov issue of Stamper's Sampler!

There were my altered bottles on page 27! They were really easy to make using the Marvy punches and the Basic Grey paper was perfect for a vintage look. The little images in the SU! set Festive Favorites were a good size for the scalloped punches, I masked off the stamps and stamped just one of each image. I got the Basic Grey paper and light weight chipboard coasters from eclectricPaperie. They are filled with Root Beer Jelly Bellies (reindeer poop), Coconut Jelly Bellies (snowballs) and vintage buttons.

I have had some requests for the directions on the Halloween Door Hanger with candy pouch I made. The directions were in the Braditude book by Karen Foster Designs. I made it a 1/2" shorter so I wouldn't have to use a 12x12 piece of cardstock. I cut the black CS 4 1/4"x 11", round the top, I used my Creative Memories circle cutter.
Cut the black & orange CS a little smaller, round the top & adhere to the black CS.
Cut a circle in the top center for a door knob to fit through.
Cut the pumpkin paper 7 1/2"x 4 1/2", make a pleat by scoring at 2" from there, score at 7/8", from there, score at 1 3/4", from there score at 7/8", that will leave 2". Then fold to make the pleat. I used mono adhesive and a few brads to hold it together. Decorate it as you please!

Thanks for stopping by!

boo party

Happy Saturday my bloggin' buddies! It's the weekend , YAY!! I had to go to the Dr. yesterday, oh joy, but, the trip was worth it because I went to Hobby Lobby! I got a 8x8 Daisy D's paper pad, Beacon Hill, yummy paper and die cuts in it, I got some wood blocks to alter, a couple of Brilliance ink pads and a Somerset book with lots of great vintage stuff in it. I picked up another Cuttlebug Snowflakes Folder, after I got home I discovered I already had it, so, I'm thinking it will make it into some blog blooms soon! Well, I guess I'm all set until my next shopping trip, LOL!

I'm so excited to hear about the newest Itty Bitty Witty! Congrats Jessica, he is a little doll!! I know MiMi isn't proud, yeah, right, LOL! Congrats again, to the Witty's, MiMi and Pop-pop!

Here's a pocket Halloween party invitation. I'm having so much fun with the Vintage Halloween Cuts from Crafty Secrets, you can get the Cuts and Paper Pads from Anna Wights store too. The images are too cute to be scary! I adhered the image to a piece of thin chipboard and painted on some Crackle Accents by Ranger. That is the coolest stuff, cracked glass without the mess! I squirted it on the image and painted it on evenly with a brush, let it dry overnight and then used Walnut ink by Ranger and smeared it around with my finger to fill the cracks, done! I don't know how it works, but, it does and I love the stuff! I adhered the crackled cut to the paper from the Earthy Paper Pad on the card front. I had already sprayed the Earthy paper with Antique Brass Glimmer Mist, something else I have fallen in love with! Get that from Joy and Daisy at eclecticPaperie oh, they have the chipboard too! The Crafty Secrets stamp sets I used are A Sexy Little Number, Calendar and Artsy Alphabet. It's hard to see, but, the tag says BE THERE IF YOU DARE...

I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend, thanks for stopping by!

halloween door hanger candy pouch

REMINDER - Don't forget to go to my blog blooms and make a guess, I'm announcing the winner tomorrow evening!!

I got my Crafty Secrets goodies and I was in heaven going through it. I love love love those vintage stamps. The detail is amazing and the stamps are true vintage, I LOVE this company!!

I saw the directions for a door hanger similar to this in the book Braditude by Karen Foster Designs. I thought it would make cute gifts for friends, coworkers and the special little ones for Halloween!

I used the Earthy Paper Pad & Halloween Time Cuts from Crafty Secrets. You can get these from Crafty Secrets or Anna's store. I used some of Martha Stewart's yummy Carnelian Glitter on the kitten's hat, vintage buttons, black & white gingham ribbon colored with a Copic, thanks for the tip Trudee, and rick rack.

Look at what I have it hanging on. It's an OLD oven door off of my grandmother's wood cook stove that she used back in the day, neat, huh?

I thought the pleat in the pouch was really cute and it does make room for more candy, mmmmmmmmm!

Have a great day!

blog blooms aka candy & clip it up

I've been meaning to give away some blog candy but I haven't taken the time to do it. Well, now is the time! I was trying to come up with a name for my candy give aways. I came up with blog blooms from Iris Garden, catchy, huh? OK - I'm a dork . Anyway, below is a pic of the blog blooms.

There are 3 mini acrylic stamp sets by Stampendous. 1 Spooky stamp set from Michaels. Baby Cakes Anchorettes & Sprinkles by Queen & Co. 1 Keepsake Wallet Album by EK Success. 1 bag of Mini Me flowers by Prima.

OK, this is all you have to do, see the picture of my Clip It Up I got from Joy and Daisy at Eclectic Paperie?
Just guess how many packages I have clipped up! That's it, just respond to this post with your name, where you are from and number of packages (if there are more than 1 of the same number guessed, I will use the first person who choose that number, if no one guesses the right number, I will use the one who comes closest). I will name the winner Wednesday evening, WOOHOO!!!

I had so much fun digging out all my stuff and clipping it up. Now I can see and use my goodies more! As you can see it holds a ton of stuff from stamps to bellies to ribbon, anything that you can put a clip on. I think I need another one, how sad is that? grin

I've been playing with some Crafty Secrets goodies this weekend YIPPEEEEEE, I'll upload those soon!

Genevieve & a give away!

While I'm waiting on my Crafty Secrets goods, I thought I'd share the card I made for my friend Bethie and baby Genevieve. I thought the paper by Making Memories was perfect for a new baby, it has the cutest words on it. I used the SU! set Priceless and matching Classy Brass template for the embossed flowers on the peach cardstock and the butterfly trail paper piercing.

Oh! You need to go check out Vicki Chrisman's blog, she's having a SUPER give away.....it's a ScrapMuse kit full of yummy goodies to play with!! You never know, you may just win, how FUN would that be?!!

I've been wanting to do the blog candy thing, I just need to take the time to do it!
Stay tuned Ü

make a wish

My friend Lana had a couple of challenges going for us
last weekend. I did the layout & bright colors.

Isn't that little chick cute? She's one of the Stampendous Calendar chicks, I got her in an image swap at the retreat. Joy and Daisy carry Stampendous stamps at Eclectic Paperie . I got a chick in my order yesterday, I hope to make a card with it soon!

The flower in the top left corner is a velvet flower by Maya Road, the center is a flat marble type thing I got in the bead dept. at Wal-Mart. They come several to a bag. I just glued it on. The yummy ribbon is by May Arts from StarLit Studio, it's bright pink organdy with black dots.

Supplies:
SU! Only Orange, Pixie Pink, Whisper White & Basic Black cardstock, Only Orange & Pixie Pink Classic ink, Paisley, sentiment from the Big Bold Birthday set, Dimensionals, Corner punch with the guide removed for the scalloped edges. Ranger Archival black ink and Copic markers. I can't remember the name of the paper, I'm sure some of you know what it is.

Oh, oh, oh, speaking of my order I got yesterday from Electic Paperie, I got 4 bottles of Glimmer Mist too! Mmmmm, the bottles are so pretty lined up with the pretty colors of glimmer inside,
I almost hate to use it, I said almost :)

Kewpie's & Take Ten

Aren't these Kewpie's just the sweetest?! I had so
much fun coloring them. Notice my Kewpie's have hair, I just couldn't leave them bald. On the butterfly Kewpie card I divided the sentiment because it was to long to fit where I wanted it. The outside says "Dear to me near to me all the way thru..." inside it says "special original wonderful you".

Supplies:
SU! cardstock - Whisper White & Basic Black.
Crafty Secrets Radiant paper pad from Sassy & Sweet Crafts, Crafty Secrets Kewpie's & Card Sentiments stamps, Cuttlebug Bow Frame embossing folder, Tape Writer Kit & Copic markers from Eclectic Paperie. May Arts ribbon, black brads & Quickie glue pen from StarLitStudio. Maya Road Velvet Blossoms. Martha Stewart White Gold Glitter. Giga scallop square & 2 1/2 square punches by Marvy Utica.

This is the inside of the Kewpie & bunny card. I used the Tape Writer Kit from Joy & Daisy at Eclectic Paperie. It's so cool, it comes with the pink tape and 2 wheels, one for upper case and one for lower case. You can get tape refills in pretty colors too. If you can't read it, it says "some bunny loves you".

When I got home from the retreat I was tickled to see my comp copy of the fall issue of Take Ten! There is a 3 page article on my big clip bookmarks. You can go to the Stampington website here, (click on Publications, click on Take Ten) and see the first 2 pages on there, just scroll down.

What a great day we had. We went to Conway to see the babies :) Jasmine got her little ears pierced, so cute! Crystal said she did real good through it. She has quite the temper now, it's really funny to watch, I couldn't help but laugh. Jayde got her long hair cut, she looks so cute with her new style. She started kindergarten this year, she's growing up on us!
I went to Hobby Lobby and got some boxes for my non-SU! stamps, some paper and a few stamps, of course!

This is the last who-rah for the summer, the lake is jam packed. I have been feeling fall in the air the last couple of mornings, cold weather is around the corner, ugh. I hope y'all have a great Labor Day weekend, be safe!
